This policy explains which data the LG Price by Measurement app for Shopify (the “app”) processes. The app lets the merchant sell products by area, length, perimeter, volume or weight: customers enter their measurements on the product page and the price is calculated in the cart and at checkout.

The measurements a customer enters travel with the cart line as line item properties, are stored by Shopify in the order and are used by the app’s Shopify Function to calculate the price. The app does not copy them to its own servers.

Only if the merchant is on the Advanced plan and enables quote requests, a customer can send a quote request from the product page. In that case the app stores, on behalf of the merchant, the name, email address and message the customer types, the measurements, the product and the page address. The merchant is the data controller and we act as processor. Quote requests are deleted automatically after 180 days, when the merchant deletes them, when Shopify sends a customers/redact request for that email, or when the app is uninstalled.

The storefront script stores one technical flag in the browser’s local storage, so the app is told once that the calculator is shown on the store. It contains no personal data and is not used to track anyone. The app sets no cookies in the storefront.

3. Data about the merchant

• The store’s domain and the Shopify access session needed to run the app.
• The products configured and their measurement and price settings.
• Setup milestones (first product configured, calculator enabled in the theme).
• The plan and the state of the subscription, as reported by Shopify.

The app requests write_products to save each product’s settings in a product metafield, write_cart_transforms to calculate the price in the cart, and read_themes to check that the calculator is enabled in the published theme.

4. Purpose, legal basis and retention

This data is used solely to provide the app, on the basis of the contract with the merchant. It is kept while the app is installed, except quote requests (180 days at most). When the app is uninstalled, Shopify notifies us and the store’s data is deleted (shop/redact).

5. Hosting and recipients

The app and its data are hosted in the European Union. The only other party involved is Shopify, the platform the store runs on. Data is never sold, shared for commercial purposes or used to train artificial intelligence models.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection by writing to appsupport@lineagrafica.es or to the data protection officer at dpo@lbo-abogados.com. Customers of a store can also contact the store directly. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.

7. Changes

If the processing changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top amended.
